“Psychoanalysis is often about turning our ghosts into ancestors”
Norman Doidge

As therapists, coaches, facilitators, and healers, we are called to witness and hold the stories of others.
Yet, beneath every personal narrative lies a deeper tapestry-woven from generations of love, loss, resilience, and unspoken pain.

We shaped by our own life experiences and also by the invisible threads of our family lineage:
a grandmother’s silent grief, a great-grandfather’s hidden shame, the echo of a tragedy left spoken.

These ancestral patterns and unhealed wounds influence our clients’ lives as well as our own.
They affect our health, they shape how we love, belong, heal, relate and serve.

This training invites you to step deeper into the field of intergenerational healing, to support the transformation of your clients and your life.

Family Constellations & Intergenerational Healing

Family Constellation, were developed by Bert Hellinger, a German psychotherapist and former priest.
Hellinger delved deeply into the realms of family and systemic dynamics, identifying within them a number of fundamental principles, which he called the Orders of Love.

The Orders of Love are universal set of principles families and natural systems, When honored, the vital energy of life flows smoothly from generation to generation, enabling all family members to live in a healthier, supported, more distinct, fulfilled, and meaningful way.

When the Orders of Love are violated, entanglements arise, leading to physical, psychological, mental, relational and family issues that cross generations.

Family Constellations invite us to step courageously into hidden realms.
With compassion and curiosity, we illuminate the pain that has traveled through generations, the secrets that linger in silence, and the enduring love that persists despite it all.

In this sacred process, we give voice to those who were never heard and honor the stories that shaped us – creating the conditions for deep, systemic healing.

When we release the weight of ancestral sorrow, we stand taller, breathe deeper, and reclaim the joy and vitality that is our birthright. This freedom is not only for ourselves, but for our clients, our children, and the generations yet to come.

Our own traumas and challenging life events can also be profoundly and effectively addressed by Family Constellations.
By bringing hidden patterns and unresolved pain into the light-whether rooted in our personal experiences or passed down through generations – this work creates a safe, transformative space for insight, compassion, and true change.

Syllabus

Day 1

Morning Session – “Acknowledging What Is”: The Phenomenological Approach
At the heart of Family Constellations lies the phenomenological approach—a powerful way to perceive reality without judgment or attachment. In this session, you will learn how to apply this mindset both in facilitation and in everyday life, cultivating the ability to fully acknowledge and include any phenomenon as it presents itself.

Afternoon Session – The Intergenerational Transmission of Trauma
The unresolved traumas, challenges, and destinies of our ancestors profoundly shape our lives, relationships, and worldview. We will explore how these intergenerational dynamics influence us—personally and professionally—and discover effective ways to restore balance within the family system, enabling each member to carry their own burdens.

Additionally, we will examine the concept of systemic loyalty and differentiate between personal, family, and collective consciousness, understanding how each level impacts us.

Day 2

Morning Session – The Orders of Love: Belonging
Every individual born or conceived into a family holds an equal right to belong. When this fundamental principle is violated—through exclusion caused by premature death, rejection, or other reasons—entanglements arise that ripple across generations.

In this session, you will learn how exclusion manifests and perpetuates itself, including its subtle effects in professional contexts. We will practice transforming exclusion into inclusion through acknowledgment, soul movement, and healing sentences, experiencing the profound power of this essential shift.

Afternoon Session – Core Principles of Facilitating Constellations
This practical session introduces the foundational skills of Family Constellations facilitation. Whether working on personal growth, one-on-one client sessions, or group facilitation, you will learn how to listen deeply, identify key elements in a client’s story, set up a basic constellation, and hold the systemic space with sensitivity and presence.

Day 3

Morning Session – The Orders of Love: Hierarchy and Precedence
Natural systems, including families, operate according to an inherent order. The roles, responsibilities, and influences of those who came before us shape our place within these systems.

We will explore how disruptions to hierarchy and precedence create imbalance, and how to recognize and address these violations to restore harmony and flow within family, romantic, parental, and professional relationships.

Afternoon Session – Unveiling Family Secrets
Every family harbors secrets—hidden stories or truths that are kept silent, sometimes for generations. These secrets can bind family members in complex ways, affecting belonging, energy, and openness to outsiders.

In this session, you will learn to identify the presence and impact of family secrets, understand the difference between secrecy and privacy, and discover constellation-based approaches to gently work with these hidden yet impactful dynamics.

Day 4

Morning Session – Shadow Constellations: Integrating the Disowned Self
From early childhood, we often disconnect from parts of ourselves deemed unacceptable or threatening to our belonging. Carl Jung called this the Shadow—the collection of denied, repressed and disowned self-aspects.

This session, drawn from our comprehensive Shadow Constellations training, introduces key Shadow archetypes and common triggers. You will learn practical methods to identify, name, and integrate these shadow parts, fostering greater wholeness, compassion, and inner peace in both personal and professional relationships.

Afternoon Session – The Orders of Love: Balancing Giving and Taking
In family dynamics, parents naturally give more while children take more, creating a flow that supports growth and eventual reciprocity. In adult relationships, however, a healthy balance between giving and receiving is essential.

We will explore how imbalances disrupt equality and create dynamics such as adult-child or victim-perpetrator roles. This session offers tools to recognize these patterns and restore or acknowledge balance in a healing and constructive way.

Day 5

Morning Session – Boundaries in Constellations: Creating a Safe Container
Effective and safe systemic work requires clear boundaries—to protect facilitators, clients, and the integrity of the family system. This session covers essential boundaries within Family Constellations work, including when the modality is appropriate, respecting client, facilitator and systemic limits, and recognizing when a boundary is being approached or crossed.

Afternoon Session – Symptom Constellations: Exploring Physical and Medical Symptoms Systemically
Physical symptoms often serve as signals within the family system—manifesting from violations, exclusion, secrets, or disowned parts.

In this closing session, you will learn to approach symptoms phenomenologically, tracing them back to systemic sources. While this work may not always lead to symptom resolution, it consistently offers profound insight and supports clients’ healing and acceptance processes.

This comprehensive training offers you both deep theoretical understanding and practical tools to facilitate transformation—empowering you to work skillfully with yourself and others in the profound field of Family Constellations.
